It's always kinda funny to think of the idea of these bugs 'attacking'. Like... they have to realize the threat humans pose too, right? They managed the attack on cedric because he's functionally vanished from his home... so nobody would see his body to know he was attacked and killed by bugs. Somebodies dog, though? Even that little hellspawn chihuahua? They don't even have to kill it, any visible damage is gonna get that place fumigated... hell, imagine if Beans had come back hurt by fire ants. Based on Abby's overreaction to gramps' cold, she'd be there with professional equipment inside the day...
Quite true! The major hint I'll give is to look at the list. There have been clashes with the humans before. Historically the IBS has been good at hiding their presence beyond people noticing the occasional bug.
